This surprising blend of green tea and roasted brown rice is a traditional Japanese tea that will delight you with its toasty notes.
According to legend, in 15th-century Japan, a samurai was enjoying his tea when his servant, Genmai, accidentally dropped some rice into his cup. Furious, the samurai executed Genmai, but upon tasting the tea and rice blend, he was thrilled. In honor of his servant, the tea was named "Genmaicha."
This unique tea can be enjoyed hot or iced and pairs particularly well with meals.

With the teapot or the tasting set: 3' minutes in water heated to 175°F.

Steep 0.4 oz / 10 g in 17 fl oz / 50 cl of water at room temperature 30 min. Remove the tea leaves and refrigerate.
