This surprising blend of green tea and roasted brown rice is a traditional Japanese tea that will delight you with its toasty notes.
According to legend, in 15th-century Japan, a samurai was enjoying his tea when his servant, Genmai, accidentally dropped some rice into his cup. Furious, the samurai executed Genmai, but upon tasting the tea and rice blend, he was thrilled. In honor of his servant, the tea was named "Genmaicha."
This unique tea can be enjoyed hot or iced and pairs particularly well with meals.

Genmaicha Yama from Palais Des Thes is amazing. We've had other brands but this one is the best.
