Description

An ancient legend tells of how the Tibetan monks would prepare this blend of tea, plants and flowers in the greatest of secrecy. After several days of soaking, the leaves were carefully plucked out and put to one side.

By this mysterious alchemy, the monks turned the tea into gold and gave it its exceptional scent.

In French, Thé des Moines means "Tea of the Monks".

Suggestion of preparation

To prepare hot tea:

Steep 0.2oz (6g) of tea in 10fl oz (30cl) of filtered water for 4 minutes at 175°F / 80°C.

Tea and dishes message

It goes well with brioche French toast. It pairs beautifully with milk chocolate, producing indulgent tones of candied citrus.

Black tea (68%) and green tea (27%) (China, Vietnam, Sri Lanka), jasmine flowers, flavours, marigold petals, vanilla.

If you enjoy Lady Grey tea you will like this one. It's milder, but has that citrus element to it. I reach for this tea often as a good morning black tea! Perfect with some cream.
