Assam is renowned for its black teas. This fertile valley in northeastern India, traversed by the Brahmaputra River, nourishes the Assamica tea plants. Discovered in the 19th century by Major Robert Bruce, the Camellia Sinensis Assamica variety is known for its rich, tannic structure and complex flavor profile.

Suggestion of preparation
Hot Tea:
In a teapot or infuser: Brew for 4 minutes in water at 194°F (90°C).
Iced Tea:
In a teapot or pitcher: Infuse 2 tsp (8 g) in 15 oz (450 ml) of room temperature water for 30 minutes. Strain the leaves and place the liquor in the refrigerator to cool.
