Description

Taking its name from the Qing dynasty (1664-1912), the Qing cup fits snugly in the palm of the hand like a little egg. Although it was a Manchu rather than a Chinese dynasty, the Qing emperors maintained their support for the industry based around Jingdezhen and their interest in Chinese porcelain, simply changing the forms.

The shape of this cup is typical of the porcelain manufactured during this dynasty. Manufactured in Jingdezhen, using very fine porcelain, these cups and bowls feature Le Palais des Thés colours.
