Description

Green Tea from Shan State is an unexpected green tea from Myanmar (formerly Burma). It grows on Namhsan Mountain in the state of Shan in the country's north-east. It is widely assumed that tea cultivation in Myanmar dates back to the kingdom of Ava (1364-1527).

A tea with strong vegetal, fruity, and mineral notes. Its smooth texture gives way to a fine astringency that lingers in the mouth.
