Description
Pre Qing Ming Golden Fujian is an exceptionally rare green tea from the mountains of Zhejiang province. Its name, "Anji White Tea," is inspired by the pale green color of its young buds, which resemble white jade.
This strikingly elegant spring green tea reveals delicate floral, almond, and vanilla notes. A true gem!
Further information
The history of this fine tea dates back to 1107, when Emperor Huizong of the Song dynasty reportedly named it his favorite tea in the book "Treatise on the Magnificent Spectacle of Tea." However, all traces of this incredible tea were lost during the many upheavals China experienced over the centuries, and it eventually became a legend.
In 1980, a tea plant with white buds was discovered in Anji County, and it was believed to be a descendant of this legendary variety. Over the following years, cuttings were taken from the plant and planted on small plots in Anji, bringing this exceptional tea back to life.
