How to Make the Perfect Iced Tea

Homemade iced tea can be made with any type of tea: flavored blends, single-origin teas, or even rare Grands Crus. Many herbal teas, like our Jardins collection, are also wonderful when served chilled.

Our Signature Iced Tea Recipe

Prep time 30 minutes to 1 hour

Simply steep the tea leaves in room-temperature water. Steeping time varies from 30 minutes to several hours depending on the tea type (green, black, white, plain, or flavored). Once finished, remove the leaves and place the pitcher in the fridge to chill before serving.

  • infuseur-step-4.png4. Release the infusion into a large cup, glass, or carafe filled with ice cubes.

How to Customize Your Iced Tea

To add a personal touch to your homemade blends, try adding:

  • Fresh fruit like Peach slices or passion fruit.
  • Citrus zest: Lemon or orange zest.
  • Fresh herbs: Mint or basil.
  • Spices: Vanilla beans, cinnamon sticks, cloves, or cardamom.
  • Organic flower petals.
  • Natural sweeteners: Agave nectar or cane sugar syrup.
Let your creativity run wild! For those who love bubbles, you can even steep your tea in sparkling lemonade instead of water. It’s always a crowd-pleaser!

When is the Best Time to Drink Iced Tea?

Here is a little secret: since caffeine is less soluble in room-temperature water, cold-steeping significantly reduces the caffeine content. This allows you to enjoy these refreshing drinks all day and even into the evening!

Single-Origin Teas & Grands Crus: Delicious Chilled!

Preparing single-estate teas iced is an excellent way to enjoy them for any occasion. Here’s why this method is a game-changer:

Reveal Delicate Notes :

Cold-steeping unveils the tea’s most pleasant notes while limiting tannins and any potential bitterness.

Did you know that a Grand Yunnan Impérial reveals delicious honeyed notes when cold-steeped? This method lets you explore your favorite teas in a completely different light.

Why Make Your Own Iced Tea?

It's Effortless :
