Embrace the season with Winter in Asia, a velvety creation by Bastien Gardrat. A warming cocktail with the bold spices of Chai Imperial.

Ingredients

  • 6 tsp of Chai Imperial
  • 2 tbsp of Rum Mount Gay
  • 2.5 tsp of Mapple Syrup
  • 1 tbsp of Grand Marnier
  • 2.5 tsp of crème fraîche

Preparation

  • Place 6 teaspoons of Chai Imperial in a carafe with 25 fl oz filtered hot water
  • Let the tea infuse 20 minutes, remove the filter with the tea leaves and leave the infusion in the fridge for 3 to 4 hours
  • Mix all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker, double strain in a Glass (place your regular strainer in or on the cocktail shaker and hold a fine mesh strainer by its handle over your glass)

Serving suggestion

Serve the cocktail in an elongated glass, add a cinnamon stick as a garnish on top of the cocktail for decoration (Small twist: you can use Bourbon instead of Rum).
