Palais des Thés has added two designs to its collection of colored porcelain cups: the Ming bowl and the Qing cup.
Taking its name from the Qing dynasty (1664-1912), the Qing cup fits snugly in the palm of the hand like a small egg. Although this dynasty was of Manchu and not Chinese origin, the Qing emperors maintained their support for the industry based around Jingdezhen and their interest in Chinese porcelain, simply changing the forms and motifs. The shape of this cup is typical of the porcelain manufactured during this dynasty.
Manufactured in Jingdezhen using very fine porcelain, these cups and bowls feature the Palais des Thés colors.
